Why did I choose my major?

Honestly when I was little I had many dreams and desire to do many different things. During my childhood I wanted to be an artist, then a veterinarian and later a poem writer. All of these were options born from my love for drawing and affection for all types of animals, but when I grew up I realized that these ideas are a part of my personality, but I needed to find what I was really passionate about to dedicate myself to it.

When I was in school I lost a lot of motivation regarding my future, so I started studying a minor in administration while I was thinking about what to do when I finished school. Although I never really thought about it well and at university I continued with the idea of ​​administration but not at a commercial level, therefore I investigated and learned about public administration. I started studying at the Universidad de Chile in 2019, and I liked something about that profession but I never felt completely part of it.

Between those doubts that I had, the year 2020 arrived and with it the pandemic, what I consider the moment in which I decided to think about my future with responsibility and honesty, finally discovering that I really like social issues, but not from the administrative field, because what I really like is interacting with people and thinking about building better public policies knowing the society where I am working. 

That's how I decided to change my major, but always grateful to have known public administration, because it was what guided me to get where I am now.

When applying to university, Social Work was my first option, I thought about it for a whole year and I felt very confident, but I also applied to other specialties, but without a doubt wanting to be my first option.

And that's how I started this path. I feel happy with my choice and my first year of study has been very good. I met wonderful people with goals very similar to mine, so I hope in the future to investigate and devise help plans together.

    Hi Sol. Quite an impressive story you have about the major that you choose. I really happy that you ended up studying Social Work I think you are a really beautiful person and that you will make a pretty great Social Worker in the future.

My favourite piece of technology

Hi Bloggers, if I had to choose my favorite technological device, I think I would choose my cell phone, because I consider it to be very comfortable and easy to use throughout the day, and it also helps me a lot during my daily activities. For example, I use it to study on the subway to take advantage of the hours on the way home, to enjoy my free time watching a movie or listening to music, and lately, I also use it to exercise and keep track of my favorite routines. Without a doubt, when I forget my cell phone at home I feel that my day runs slower since I get used to using the cell phone to facilitate my daily tasks, but it is still not essential, although in the long term, I would notice its absence. I highly recommend having a cell phone, although I believe that nowadays it is difficult to find someone who does not have one, especially because I was born in the age of technology and I grew up feeling close to technological devices, which managed to surprise me more and more. 😃

Who Am I?

Hi Bloggers , I would like to start by saying that I had never written in a blog so I am enjoying this experience.I was born on January 5, 2001 in Santiago of Chile, I live with my parents, my two brothers, my sister and my 6 pets and I really enjoy spending time with them. What we do the most together is watch movies, improvise some acting games and sometimes go for a walk in nature.
